NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva men’s soccer team jumped to a 1-0 lead 30 minutes into the game, and later fought back to tie the game at 2 in the 55th minute, but eventually fell to the visiting City Tech Yellow Jackets 6-2. The game was the first for City Tech and Yeshiva dropped to 0-2 on the season.
NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva University men’s soccer team traveled to Brooklyn for a contest with Medgar Evers, but came home with a 9-3 loss. Zachary Stern scored twice for the Maccabees, picking up where he left off last season as the team’s leading scorer. The Macs have one contest remaining before the holidays; Sunday the 5th against City Tech.
NEW YORK, NY – Three seniors ended their Yeshiva soccer career on top, with a 3-1 season finale victory over Berkeley College on Sunday. The Maccabees end their 2009 season with a 4-10 overall record.
NEW YORK, NY – Skyline Commissioner Tracy King announced today the results of the voting for the men's soccer All-Conference Team, and junior Zach Stern was voted by conference coaches to the second team. Also by a vote from conference coaches, the Maccabees were given the Sportsmanship Award for their display of fair play and civility throughout the 2009 season.
