(New York, NY) - Yeshiva University Men's Cross Country senior Ari Shapiro (Los Angeles, CA/YULA) has been named the Skyline Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week after one of the finest performances of his career at Sunday's Baruch College Invitational. The senior finished in third place overall, and placed first among Skyline Conference runners in the event, turning in a fantastic time of 31:07. 

Yeshiva was one of four Skyline Conference programs participating in the event, and 13 teams overall, and the Maccabees finished in fifth place, thanks in large part to Shapiro's heroics.

The Maccabees return to action on Sunday, Sept. 14 when they compete in the Hunter College Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park.
