Fuchs had 28 points and 5 assists
NEW YORK, NY – Despite a 77-61 loss in the HVWAC semifinals to Albany Pharmacy, the women's basketball team played arguably their best ball this season. The Macs held the lead for nearly the entire first half, and were down only 6 at the half. The game showcased 10 ties and 5 lead changes. Yeshiva ended the season at 2-22.

Shir Fuchs led all scorers with 28 points. She scored 11 straight Maccabee points in the second half, to give the Macs a one point advantage with 15 minutes to play. Lauren Kempin nearly recorded a triple-double, scoring 13 points, pulling down 11 rebounds, and blocking 8 shots. Jaclyn Ramras and Rachel Israel each scored 8. Yeshiva shot 38% from the field for the game, and held Albany Pharmacy to 36%. The Macs were out-rebounded 65-30 (33-4 on the offensive boards).

Yeshiva scored the opening 4 points of the game, and held a 4-point lead (their largest) on 3 separate occasions. Each time Albany Pharmacy would come back to tie the game in the first half, Yeshiva would regain the lead. With 3:46 to play, Albany grabbed their first lead and went into the locker room up 6.

Despite the deficit, the Macs fought back and tied the game at 38 with 15:13 to play. The game's 10th tie came at 11:19 (49-49) after Shir Fuchs hit a jumper. A 15-0 run by Albany opened the game up and the Macs were unable to mount another comeback.
