NEW YORK, NY – For the 4th consecutive week, a Yeshiva men's volleyball player has been selected as the HVMAC Player of the Week. In week 3, David Kahana got his second nod for POTW of the season, and this past week's award went to Joseph Bajtner.

In the third week, Kahana picked up his second POTW award after totaling 56 kills and 69 digs over 5 matches. His best performance came against Mount Saint Vincent when he recorded 24 kills and 28 digs in a narrow 3-2 loss.

After his performance this past week, Bajtner was selected as the conference's Player of the Week for the first time this season. Averaging 9.6 assists per set, Bajtner had an impressive 68 assist performance against NYU-Poly in the 5 sets they played. The team's win over Webb Institute (in which Bajtner recorded 32 assists) clinched the regular season HVMAC Championship for the Maccabees. They finished undefeated in conference play.

The team will be hosting Webb for senior night on Thursday beginning at 8PM. On Sunday the Maccabees will be at Mount Saint Vincent for the semifinals of the Skyline Conference, beginning at noon. They will take on Bard College. The winner will go on to face the winner of Mount Saint Vincent/Sage in the Championship match at 2:30 (also at MSV).
