New York, NY- The Yeshiva athletic department is proud to announce that women's fencing team members Elizabeth Penn, Eliana Shaul, and Avigayil Goldson were selected to the 2010- 2011 Eastern Women's Fencing Conference All-Conference Team.  The all-conference team consists of 27 student-athletes, nine from each of the three weapons classifications, and was selected based upon performances from the EWFC Individual Championships.
 

Senior epee captain Elizabeth Penn was selected as the 2010-2011 EWFC Epee Fencer of the Year. Penn went a perfect 11-0 at the EWFC championships dramatically improving her 2009-2010 showing where she placed 6^th with a 10-6 record. Elizabeth is the first EWFC Epee Fencer of the Year in Yeshiva history.
 

Yeshiva also had two additional fencers that made the EWFC All-Conference teams. Senior Eliana Shaul was named to the second team EWFC Foil All-Conference and junior Avigayil Goldson was named to the second team EWFC Epee All-Conference. Shaul finished in 9^th place in the foil division and finished with an 8-8 record. Goldson placed 8^th in the epee division with a record of 4-7.
 

All three fencers will be competing in the NCAA Regionals that will be held on March 13^th at Vassar College. Yeshiva also has six other fencers who qualified for regionals including Tali Kern (Epee), Dana Robinson (Foil), Jill Joshowitz (Foil), Brahna Kessler (Sabre), Rebecca Sperling (Sabre), and Michal Gilboa (Sabre).
