ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Senior
Rivka Jakobov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) ran to a ninth-place time of 23:33 on the 5,000-meter course at Bard College Sunday afternoon, helping Yeshiva University to a fifth-place showing at the 2012 Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Championships.
Sophomore
Stephanie Greenberg (Cedarhurst, N.Y.) placed 19th with a 24:47 time, while classmate
Rena Thomas (Olney, Md.) used a 25:01 time to place 24th. Rounding out the Maccabees' scoring five were sophomore
Ruthie Heller (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and freshman
Melissa Dweck (Brooklyn, N.Y.), who placed 28th (25:29) and 29th (25:36), respectively.
Head coach Brendan Donoghue's YU team is back in action next Sunday (Oct. 28), when they travel to Chadwick Lake Park in Newburgh, N.Y., for the Skyline Conference Championships. The race is slated to get underway at 12 noon.
