Men's Cross Country Finishes Second of 10 at Skyline Championship

RIVERDALE, N.Y.— The Yeshiva men's cross country team finished second overall of 10 teams at the highly competitive Skyline Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees finished with 66 points.

Graduate student-athlete Oliver Sax was the top finisher for Yeshiva. He finished fifth overall of 83 runners, going through the eight kilometer course in 29:17. Dov Levine was second fastest on Yeshiva and eleventh overall in 29:39, while teammate Isaac Markel finished twelfth in the race and third for the Maccabees in 29:43. Noam Polster was fourth to finish for Yeshiva and eighteenth overall in 30:11. Natan Koloski round out the top five finishers for the team and top 20 as he finished the race in a time of 30:26. Joseph Lipton finished twenty second overall in 30:56, while Shvey Mirkin came in thirty-ninth place in a time of 32:46. Shmuel Weinstein finished the race in forty-second overall in 33:24, while Avi Raden was forty-forth in 33:39.

St. Joseph's Long Island won the event, scoring a 46. Finishing in third place was the College of Mount Saint Mary, followed by Maritime College in fourth. Sage College finished in fifth, followed by Farmingdale State in sixth. The College of Mount Saint Vincent finished seventh, while Purchase College finished eighth, NYU Poly ninth and the College at Old Westbury finished tenth.
