FLUSHING, N.Y. - The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announced its 2013 baseball all-star teams recently, and a pair of Yeshiva University student-athletes were recognized for their play this season. Senior
Yaniv Lautman (Cleveland, Ohio) garnered first-team kudos, while classmate and right-handed pitcher,
Joel Feigenbaum (Chicago, Ill.) picked up second-team praise.
Lautman led the Maccabees in five offensive categories, including: batting average (.315); runs (11); hits (28); doubles (6); and triples (1 - tied). He played predominantly behind the plate in the field, as well as in center field.
Feigenbaum posted a school-record 48 strikeouts on the mound in just 31.1 innings pitched, good for a 13.79 per-9-innings rate that would rank him in the top-five nationally in NCAA Division III had he pitched the qualifying amount of innings (presently: 40 IP) to qualify for consideration.
