NEW YORK, N.Y. – Senior forward
Michal Alge, of the Yeshiva University women's basketball team, has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Month for November.
During the month of November, Alge produced five double-doubles. The Boston resident scored 21 points with 22 rebounds at York College N.Y., and added 18 points with 20 rebounds against Skyline rival Farmingdale State. She scored 16 points with 15 rebounds in Yeshiva's season-opening win over The King's College N.Y., while producing 16 points with 19 boards in YU's Skyline win over Sarah Lawrence College.
Alge is currently ranked second in the Skyline with an average of 15.1 rebounds per game. She has earned a spot in the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor on four occasions and earned Honorable Mention accolades by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
Yeshiva will host St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, at the Nat Holman Gymnasium, on Thursday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
