Josh Pransky took over as the head men's soccer coach position at Yeshiva University in March, 2013, after guiding the team on an interim basis for the latter portion of the 2012 campaign. He is a 2010 alumnus of the university, and has served on the soccer staff at YU since that time.

In 2012, he took over the reins of the program on an interim basis three games into the season, and guided Yeshiva to a two-match winning streak to close out the campaign. Leon Aboudi was selected to the All-Skyline Conference Second Team, after ranking No. 38 and 74 in NCAA Division III in goals (0.73) and points (1.55) per game, respectively. Pransky opened up an offensive-minded tactical approach to matches after taking over the interim title, and YU’s 1.64 goals per game average was the team’s highest total since 2009.

The Philadelphia native has been coaching since 2007.  Before taking charge at Yeshiva, Josh served as a Senior Coach and Regional Director of Coaching for the Legends Soccer Club.  Legends Soccer Club has captured tournament titles in 15 national competitions in its history, as well as sent over 30 players to professional leagues around the world.  After leaving Legends, Josh spent time studying from various professional coaches (NY Red Bulls) and then received his coaching certification from the NSCAA under Paul Marco (West Virginia, Binghamton).  Prior to that he spent three years under the mentorship of Tony Elmore (AYSO National Coach Instructor).

Pransky received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yeshiva and was awarded the 2010 YU Athletics Aaron Meyer Memorial Award.
