What is your favorite thing about Yeshiva University?


 I love the fact that when I step on the court I represent more than myself. I represent all the Jewish people both as an athlete and as a Jew. For many of the athletes and fans that we compete against, it is their first time encountering a Jew. I  love being able to prove others wrong and show that Jews aren’t just great people but also great athletes. 
 
What is your favorite thing about being a student-athlete at Yeshiva University?  It is like living with one big family. It is a network of Jews who all look out for each other and care for one another. You don’t  see this type of connection at any other college.

What was your greatest
memory as a Yeshiva student-athlete?		 Last year at our first ever home playoff game, I remember walking out of the locker room right before the game and seeing the gym filled to capacity with wild and energized fans. That feeling of support was one I will never forget.
Who was the most influential
person to you as a child?

My father and mother. My father is the third all time leading scorer in YU history and growing up he always pushed me to be the best person and athlete I can be. Watching him interact and lead the people around him helped me become the leader and ball player I am today. My mother always had incredible patience with me and my brothers and always stayed positive. These traits  stuck with me and this also helped me become the leader I am today. As a child, my parents would attend and film every basketball game. Later, my father would sit with me and we would review the film and see what I could have done better (since the age of 12). With this kind of support I was able to succeed in my goal of playing college basketball.

What is your favorite food?

 Anything on the kid’s menu. Burgers, pizza, mac & cheese, etc.
 

What is your favorite movie?
 You Don’t Mess with The Zohan

Favorite sport to play (besides your sport)?
 Soccer
 

What is your favorite sports team?
 Dallas Cowboys
  

What would people you know now find surprising about you when you were younger?
Growing up, I was the water boy for the YU Macs along with my 2 younger brothers who are also on the team. I was actually the  water boy when Coach Steinmetz was playing for the team.
