Simcha Halpert has been on a roll for the men's basketball team. He helped lead Yeshiva to its third straight playoff appearance and won the Skyline Conference Rookie of the for the fourth time.

What was your greatest memory as a Yeshiva student-athlete?	Spending shabbat with the team at the Hod’s residence
Who was the most influential person to you as a child?	Many people had great influences on me: My parents for always supporting me and teaching me how to carry myself on and off the court. My older and younger brothers; always wanting to be like my older brother and be a good role model for my younger brothers like my older brother was for me. My high school coach, Colin Jamerson, who taught me the hard work I need to put in in-order to reach the potential he knew I was capable of.
Growing up what teacher in school do you remember to have the biggest influence on you?	My middle school principal Rabbi Tsaidi. He has always been there for me and my family, even gave me and my siblings summer jobs at his awesome day camp, Camp Ariel of Beverly Hills. I hope that one day me and my family are somewhere near the greatness of his family.

In high school, what clubs were you involved with?	The Basketball Team

What is your favorite hobby (besides the sport you play)?	Watching Television

What would people you know now find surprising about you when you were younger?	I used to bike four miles to play play water polo and practice with the swim team (for water polo) and then bike four miles back home everyday for two summers.
