What is your favorite thing about Yeshiva University? |
YU offers me the distinct opportunity to better myself as a Jew and Human Being, while also allowing me to chase my secular ambitions, and sports dreams, all the while offering a judgement-free campus and amazing support system. YU is the perfect blend of 'Torah U'Maddah', allowing for immeasurable betterment and a push to reach any and all goals.

What is your favorite thing
about being a student-athlete at Yeshiva University? |
Being able to play the sport that I love on a high level, and coming together with a like-minded group of athletes (who I am lucky to call my closest friends) to represent our school and tradition. I will never lose the distinct pride that I feel every time I am able to walk onto the baseball diamond with Yeshiva across my chest, and to have the HaTikvah emanating from the speakers before taking the field to represent my school, my people, and my country. |
| What Yeshiva University class have you found most beneficial? |
Any class taught by Dr. Bevan or Professor Zaitseva.
|
What was your greatest
memory as a Yeshiva student-athlete? |
On a personal level, my first collegiate win as a Freshman, and breaking YU's hits and batting average records in my Sophomore year. From a team perspective, our first "Midnight Madness" practice in which we all held each other up and pushed each other through the grueling pre-season 'gasser'. |
Who was the most influential
person to you as a child? |
My Mother. I have her to thank for my love of baseball and my drive to always be better. Through good and bad, my Mom has always been there for me, and continues to be. She is the reason for my successes and pushes me everyday to reach new heights and conquer anything and everything in front of me. Love you Mom, |
Growing up what teacher in school do you remember to have the biggest influence on you? |
Mr. Gillego my 10th and 11th grade English teacher. He taught me to not allow 'The Man' to keep you down, and that the only thing holding someone back is themselves. |
