Benjy Ritholtz completed his first season as the assistant coach of the Yeshiva University men's basketball team in 2016-17. Ritholltz had an outstanding four-year career (2011-2015) with the Maccabees men's basketball team, as a student-athlete . He scored 1,188 career points, which ranks him the 18th highest career scorer in program history.
During his senior year, Ritholtz was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week on three separate occasions. At the end of the season, he was inducted into the Skyline All-Conference first team, as he helped the men's basketball team clinch a spot in the Skyline Conference championships. He was also named to the All-Metropolitan Sports Writers Association Second Team.
Ritholtz is a two-time College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) / Capital One Academic All-American. He earned first team status during his senior year, while landing a spot on the third team in his junior season.
A native of West Hempstead, N.Y., Ritholtz earned his Bachelor's Degree in History in 2015.
