Michael Schertz (Lawrence, NY/DRS) shot a team-best 87 to earn a top-10 individual finish and junior Tzvi Simson (Lawrence, NY/DRS), senior Max Gornish (St. Louis, MO/Block Yeshiva), and sophomore
Jason Kirshner (Chicago, IL/Ida Crown) each broke 100 as the Yeshiva University Golf team finished fifth at the third annual Yeshiva University Golf Invitational, held on Monday, Sept. 15 at the Hudson Hills Golf Course in Ossining, New York.
Yeshiva shot a 363 to finish behind Manhattan College (329), Farmingdale State (335), St. Joseph's (342), and FDU (343). Stevens, Purchase College, and the Sage Colleges also participated in the event.
Also enjoying a strong event was senior Alexander Lev (Great Neck, NY/North Shore Hebrew Academy), who finished with a 106.
Yeshiva returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 17 when the Maccabees face Manhattan College at the Glenwood Country Club in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
