Kram enjoys another spectacular night in goal but SJC blanks Yeshiva in Women's Soccer

(Yonkers, NY) – For more than 45 minutes on Sunday night, Yeshiva goalie Tamar Kram (Newton, MA/Maimonides) could do no wrong. Against one of the best teams the Skyline Conference has to offer, Kram competed in perhaps the best half of her outstanding career, stopping 15 out of 17 shots as St. Joseph's took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Ultimately, the visiting Golden Eagles rallied for a 5-0 win, but for Kram, the night was one to remember.

St. Joseph's did everything in their power to put Yeshiva away early, taking 34 shots during the first half of play, but 33 minutes into the game, it was still a 0-0 tie. At 33:22, the potent SJC transition game finally came through as the Golden Eagles scored off of a gorgeous passing play to take a 1-0 lead. A little over six minutes later, Kram made her lone mistake for the night, saving an outside shot, but allowing the ball to trickle past her for the second Golden Eagle goal at 39:04 to give St. Joseph's a 2-0 halftime lead.

Things remained the same for much of the second half as the Yeshiva defense held St. Joseph's largely at bay, but a three-goal Golden Eagle run during a 2:20 span midway through the stanza blew the game wide open and have SJC a 5-0 lead.

Kram finished with 21 saves overall as St. Joseph's enjoyed a 59-0 edge in shots and took a staggering 20 corner kicks, compared to none for Yeshiva.

Yeshiva returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 23 when they travel to Mount Saint Mary for a 7:30 p.m. Skyline Conference game.
