Mount Saint Mary defeats Yeshiva 10-0 in Women's Soccer

(Newburgh, NY) – Junior goalie Tamar Kram (Newton, MA/Maimonides) made 10 saves, and the YU defense held a strong Mount Saint Mary attack off of the scoreboard for the final 31 minutes of play, but the Yeshiva University Women's Soccer team fell to 0-7 with a 10-0 loss to Mount Saint Mary on Tuesday night at Mount Saint Mary. The loss drops YU to 0-6 in Skyline Conference play.

Mount Saint Mary jumped out ahead quickly, scoring at 7:19 to take the lead, and then adding five more goals during the first 15 minutes of play to make it 6-0. The Blue Knights took a 9-0 lead into halftime before Yeshiva tightened up their defense during the second half of play, allowing only 16 shots and a single goal during the stretch.

Overall, Mount Saint Mary outshot Yeshiva 49-0, and had a 15-0 edge in corner kicks.

Yeshiva now enters the holiday break, and will return to action on Sunday, Nov. 26 when the Maccabees travel to Bard College for a 1:00 p.m. start.
