Information for 2010 Pre-Season Camp

For all the athletes that will be attending the 2010 Pre-Season camp from August 16th through August 20th, please read below for a complete packing list and other information regarding the camp. If you have any questions, please contact your coach first.

For the men, please report to Lake Como Pizza at 9AM for departure. The bus will leave on time and will not wait for you.

For the women, please arrive at Brookdale at 9AM for departure. Any luggage must be moved in BEFORE arriving for the bus, so take that into consideration. The bus will leave on time and will not wait for you.


What to Bring to Camp:

• Athletes must bring their own linens
Suggestions: Sheets, Pillow, Pillowcase, Bath Towel, Blanket (it gets cold at night)
• Sneakers
Extra shoelaces. DO NOT buy new sneakers to be worn for the first time at camp. THEY WILL CAUSE BLISTERS (new sneakers must be worn for daily workouts 2-3 weeks prior to camp if you don't want blisters)
• Apparel for six days
Keep in mind that multiple games and clinics will be run throughout each day. Therefore, more than one set of clothes, underwear and socks would be suggested per day. 7-10 workout outfits should be plenty. BRING SHOWER SHOES.
There will be men around so skirts and sleeves for those it applies to.
• Casual Apparel for down time, sleepwear (this is not a fashion show its camp)
• Toiletry Articles (soap, shampoo, deodorant, towel, facial tissues etc…)
• Bathing suit and Towel
There will be pool time for down time (separate swim will be available)
There will be conditioning in the pool – bring sweats (top and bottoms) to wear in the pool over your bathing suit
• Plan for possible cool weather at night and rain
Sweater or Jacket / Sweatshirts and Sweatpants, Raincoat
• Appropriate equipment for your respective sport (i.e. tennis racquet, shin guards, cleats FOR GRASS FIELDS elbow pads etc)
• Baseball cap
• Tefilin, Siddur etc.
• Sun block, Bug spray (you must bring you own)
• Be advised there is no cell phone service; bring calling cards for pay phone call use.
• No computers available
• There are no laundry facilities

Remember you will be gone from Monday morning to before Shabbos- this does not require a MASSIVE suitcase. Include your linen etc. and clothing for the week.

Women - You will NOT be able to get to your bags once they are locked up at Stern. If you will be going straight from the bus to your Shabbos host please make sure you have your Shabbos clothing with you as well.
