NEW YORK, NY – The women's soccer team lost their season opener to the visiting Cougars from Medgar Evers by a final score of 15-1. This was also the first came for Medgar Evers in the 2010 campaign.
Yeshiva's lone goal came in the 57th minute from
Atara Kanarfogel. The big play came after an offside call gave Yeshiva a free kick.
Rochelle Friedman sent a pass over the top of the defense to Atara who dribbled past a defender and found herself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. As the goalie came out of the net, Atara put a shot on goal that ricocheted off the goalies hands and to the back of the net.

In net,
