NEW YORK, NY – After weather pushed the HVWAC Quarterfinals from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon, the Macs traveled to New Rochelle to play the 4
th seeded Angels in the Quarterfinals. New Rochelle came out on top 3-1 (22-25, 13-25, 25-21, 20-25) and advanced into the semifinals against top seeded Culinary. Yeshiva stands at 3-14 with one game remaining this season.
Jackie Berger led the team with 6 kills while also recording 11 digs and an ace.
Shira Genauer had 26 digs to lead Yeshiva and
Moriah Green led with 12 assists and 3 aces. The Macs were hurt by unforced errors, as the team as 20 attack errors and 8 service errors in the match.
In the Hudson Valley's other quarterfinal match, Pratt defeated Sarah Lawrence 3-1 to play St. Joseph's Brooklyn in the other semifinal. Top seeded Culinary and 2
nd seeded St. Joseph's met in the finals where Culinary came out on top 3-0 to win the Championship.
Yeshiva has one game remaining on their schedule, a match with Mount Saint Mary tonight in Newburgh at 7PM.
