TEANECK, N.J.— The Yeshiva women's soccer team was defeated by Maritime College, 8-0, on Wednesday evening in a non conference tilt.
 
The visiting Privateers outshot the Maccabees 43-2 in the contest, including 31-1 in the first half. Maritime netted seven goals in the first half to take a seven goal lead at halftime.
 
Amongst the eight goals in the contest by the visiting team were two each by Jorrie Trenkamp and Melanie Lopez. Trenkamp fired a match-high 10 shots, while Kadie Hook, who added a goal and an assist, took nine shots.
 
The Maccabees had one shot in the first half and another in the second. Michal Cohen had a shot in the first half, while Sara Shamir put one on goal in the final stanza.
 
Yeshiva goalkeepers Annie Jaffe and Elana Kook both played well in net, making great saves while protecting the goal. Jaffe started the match and made eight saves in the first half, while Kook played the second half and stopped seven shots.
 
Yeshiva returns to action on Friday afternoon for a match at Purchase College at 12 noon.
