BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's soccer team was defeated in another close game on Monday evening as the Maccbees lost to NYU Poly 1-0 at Aviator Field.

The host Fighting Blue Jays got the only goal of the game at the 29:16 mark of the first half on a goal by Aisha Abu Marzouq.

NYU Poly held a 24-6 advantage on shots. NYU Poly's Desiree Kettell led the game with 10 shots attempted, including five on goal.

Shlomit Braun, Merav Sadan Barach and Sara Shamir recorded two shots each for the Maccabees.

Annie Jaffee made nine saves for Yeshiva.

Yeshiva returns to action next Monday, November 4, for its 2013 season finale against the City College of New York at Randall's Island Field 10 at 9 p.m.
