NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's volleyball team lost three straight sets to St. Joseph's-Long Island (15-25, 19-25, 16-25) in a Skyline Conference contest on Wednesday evening.
The Maccabees were led by
Kerrin Ast with five kills and three digs. Meanwhile
Marjorie Rasinovsky added four kills for Yeshiva.
Makena Owens and
Sarit Zukowsky added three kills each, while
Emily Rohan had 10 assists and seven digs.
In the first set, the contest was tied at 3-3 before the visiting Golden Eagles rallied off six straight points to take a 9-3 advantage and lead the rest of the way.
In the second set, Yeshiva led 2-0 and 3-1, before St. Joseph's-Long Island scored four straight points to take a 5-3 lead. The Golden Eagles led by as much as eight in the set and were ahead 22-14 before it ended.
In the third set, the Maccabees jumped ahead 6-2. But the Golden Eagles scored 10 of the next 11 points to lead 12-7 en route to winning the match.
