NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva University men's basketball team was defeated by Sage College 82-53 at the Max Stern Athletic Center on Tuesday evening.
With the loss the Maccabees fall to 3-3 (1-1 Skyline), while Sage College is now 5-1 (1-0 Skyline) on the year.
Yeshiva was led by
Shelby Rosenberg with 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots, while
Shaje Weiss and
Benjy Ritholtz had 13 points each.
Sage was led by Kai Deans with 29 points on 10-for-14 shooting with 11 rebounds in 24 minutes of action. Meanwhile Jorrdan McCray added 18 points on 8-for-16 shooting.
Sage connected on 48.6 percent from the field (34-for-70), including 56.3 percent (18-for-32) in the first half. The visiting Gators outscored the Maccabees 56-26 on points in the paint and held a 55-34 rebounding edge over Yeshiva.
Yeshiva is back in action on Thursday for a home game against the College at Old Westbury at 8 p.m.
