NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's basketball team was defeated by the City College of New York (CCNY) 65-55 on Tuesday evening.
The loss leaves Yeshiva at 1-6 on the season, while CCNY is now 1-4.
The Maccabees were led by
Julia Owen with 19 points and nine rebounds, while
Stephanie Greenberg had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Ester Kerzner added 11 points, while
Simee Rosner had six points and 10 rebounds.
CCNY was led by Robin Daley with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Marissa Olsen and Kerniesha Williams both had double-doubles. Olsen had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Williams 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The host Beavers held a 36-12 advantage on points in the paint an outscored Yeshiva 14-2 on points off the bench.
Yeshiva is back in action on Tuesday December 9 for a home game against Vaughn College at the ARC Arena at Baruch College at 8 p.m.
