Box Score YONKERS, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's soccer team was defeated by St. Joseph's- Brooklyn (SJC) 7-0 in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) contest played at Tibbets Brook Park on Monday evening.
Yeshiva is now 0-6-0 overall and 0-2-0 in HVIAC play. SJC is now 3-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the HVIAC.
The visiting Bears scored three goals in the first half and four more in the second half to win by seven.
SJC's Pam Chernyakhovsky netted four goals and had two assists in the contest. She recorded a game-high 14 shots, 10 of which were on goal. Teammate Cansu Usta added two goals for the Bears.
Yeshiva had two shot attempts in the match, both of which came from
Merav Saden Barach.
SJC held a 39-2 advantage on shots, and the Bears attempted 16 corner kicks in the game.
Elana Kook made 15 saves for the Maccabees.
Yeshiva is back in action on Wednesday for a game at Maritime College at 8 p.m.
