Women's Soccer Loses to Sarah Lawrence College

TEANECK, N.J.— The Yeshiva women's soccer team was defeated by Sarah Lawrence College, 4-0, in a contest played at Fairleigh Dickinson University Soccer Field on Monday evening.
 
The loss leaves Yeshiva at 0-4-0 this season, while Sarah Lawrence improves to 1-0-0 with its season opening win.
 
The visiting Gryphons led 3-0 at halftime en route to the shutout. Four different players scored one goal each for Sarah Lawrence as Shannon Sullivan netted the first goal of the game at 5:58, before Kaylen Dornan scored a goal at 26:23 to make the score 2-0 in favor of the Gryphons. Then Brianna Solo scored a goal for Sarah Lawrence at the 29:10 mark to put Sarah Lawrence ahead 3-0. In the second half, Emily Benjamin scored for Sarah Lawrence to round out the scoring.
 
Sarah Lawrence outshot the Maccabees 29-1 in the contest. Jennifer Shamsian took Yeshiva's lone shot in the contest. Dornan led all players with six shots in the contest.
 
Elana Kook made seven saves in net for Yeshiva.
 
Yeshiva is back in action on Wednesday for a home contest against John Jay College at Tibbets Brook Park at 8 p.m.
