BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- The Yeshiva University women's soccer team had their first win of the season on Sunday at Aviator Park in Brooklyn, New York, as the Maccabees defeated visiting Sarah Lawrence College, 3-0.

Senior midfielder Merav Saden Barach (Teaneck, N.J. / Bruriah) scored two goals for the Maccabees, who quadrupled their season scoring output in a single match. Her first goal came in the 64^th minute, and it proved to be the eventual game-winner. Her second goal came on a put-back off a penalty kick in the 72^nd minute. Senior midfielder Jennifer Shamsian (W. Hempstead, N.Y. / HAFTR) added a third strike in the 73^rd minute, finishing off a breakaway.

Yeshiva senior goalkeeper Annie Jaffe (Cleveland, Ohio / Fuchs Mizrachi) recorded saves to earn her first shutout of the year.

Yeshiva is back on the field on Monday when they travel to North Arlington, New Jersey to play the Dolphins of the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 8:00 p.m.
