NEW YORK --- The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team hosted a Skyline Conference Multi-Match on Sunday at the ARC Arena on the Baruch College campus, competing against Mount Saint Mary College and Sarah Lawrence College. The Maccabees of Yeshiva came away with two losses.

Set scores were 5-25, 11-25, 10-25 against Mount Saint Mary and 17-25, 20-25, 22-25  versus Sarah Lawrence.

In the sandwich match of Mount Saint Mary and Sarah Lawrence, the Knights prevailed over the Gryphons, 25-10, 25-10, 25-8.

It was senior day for Yeshiva women's volleyball, and the team took a moment prior to the first match to recognize their four graduating seniors from this year's team. Outside hitter Shana Wolfstein (Burlington, Vt. / Vermont Commons School), defensive specialist Carol Jacobson (Seattle, Wash. / Northwest Yeshiva), setter Emily Rohan (Dallas, Texas / Yavneh Academy of Dallas) and setter Aliza Mueller (Los Angeles, Calif. / YULA) have all dedicated themselves not only to their team, but to the Yeshiva community as a whole. Although their playing careers may be coming to an end, they will forever be part of the Yeshiva family.

Rohan led the Maccabees with nine kills and 32 digs over six sets. Junior middle blocker Marissa Almoslino (Seattle, Wash. / Northwest Yeshiva) had eight kills, while junior libero Shaina Hourizadeh (Englewood, N.J. / Frisch) finished with 26 digs. Junior middle blocker Gavriela Colton (Teaneck N.J. / Ma'ayanot) posted three kills and two blocks in four sets. Mueller finished with two service aces and 14 digs, while Wolfstein added eight kills.

Yeshiva finished the day with a 2-13 win-loss record with a 1-7 mark in the conference standings. Mount Saint Mary's headed home with a record of 13-18 and 6-2 against Skyline opponents while Sarah Lawrence are now 3-22 with a 2-6 record in league play.

Yeshiva will be back on the court on Thursday, October 29th when they travel to York College in Jamaica, New York to take on the Cardinals in a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
