NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.— The Yeshiva University women's basketball team closed out its 2014-15 season on Thursday evening with a 111-51 defeat against the College of Mount Saint Vincent (CMSV) at the Wellness Center on the campus of the College of New Rochelle.
The Maccabees finish the season with a 3-18 overall record and a 2-4 showing in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) play. CMSV closed out its regular season with a 20-5 overall record, is the No. 3 seed for the 2015 Skyline Conference women's basketball playoffs.
In Thursday's game, CMSV's Christina Barone had a triple-double, and was one rebound shy of a quadruple double. She scored 21 points, had 18 assists and 13 steals to go along with nine rebounds.
Yeshiva was led by
Stephanie Greenberg who closed out a marvelous college basketball playing career with 15 points and six rebounds.
Rachel Mirsky added 10 points and four rebounds, while
Simee Rosner had nine points and 10 rebounds.
The visiting Dolphins led from start to finish, and scored 60 first half points to lead 60-32 at halftime.
CMSV outscored Yeshiva 53-11 on points off turnovers, 42-24 on points in the paint and 18-4 on fastbreak points.
