BELLEROSE, N.Y.— The Yeshiva baseball team was defeated in both games of a doubleheader against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, losing 17-1 in both games.
In the first game, the Maccabees scattered four hits.

Josh Gurin,
Joseph Miller had a single each, while
Chaim Rosenberg had a double in the contest. Yeshiva's run came in the top of the sixth inning when Miller ripped a single that scored Goldis.
The host Bears had 17 hits in the first game and were led by Anthony DeFillippo who was 3-for-4 with three runs and a pair of runs batted in.
In the second game, Yeshiva's run came in the top of the second inning when Rosenberg blasted a solo homerun to start the inning. Otherwise, the Maccabees pounded out six hits in the nightcap and got two from Rosenberg who also singled in the game. Yeshiva also got a pair of singles from Goldis, a double by
Joseph Miller and a single by
Joseph Bankier.
St. Joseph's-Brooklyn was led in the second game by Bobby Perretti who was 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and two runs batted in.
