Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. --- The Yeshiva University women's volleyball took their first loss of the season Thursday night, losing in three sets to the visiting Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University, 25-16, 25-15, 25-23, in a match played at the ARC Arena on the Baruch College campus. The Maccabees are now 1-1 on the year while NJCU opens their season with a victory.

Gavriela Colton led Yeshiva with eight kills, hitting .353 on the night. Senior setter
Emily Rohan posted a team-high ten set assists with four kills, three service aces and five digs. Junior
Marissa Almoslino tallied six kills while junior
Shaina Hourizadeh finished with a match-high 12 digs.
Freshman Georgina Rayo led NJCU with eight kills and five digs.
Down two sets, the Maccabees made a valiant effort in the third, going up 21-20 off a kill by Almoslino late in the stanza. After NJCU took the lead, Yeshiva knotted it at 23-23 off two more successful attacks by Almoslino. But the visitors closed out the hosts to seal the win.
Yeshiva is back on the court on Tuesday when they travel to the College of Staten Island to take on the Dolphins in an 8:00 p.m. match.
