Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team opened up the 2016 season with a 9-0 loss to the City College of New York, on Randall's Island, on Thursday evening. CCNY scored the opening goal less than a minute into the contest and never looked back.
Leading the way for Yeshiva (0-1) was freshman goalkeeper
Gabriella Chutter, who made ten saves in her collegiate debut.
The Maccabees were able to limit CCNY to two goals in the first 45 minutes, as sophomore
Nicole Bick, junior
Liorah Rubinstein, senior
Eden Gelman, and sophomore
Anabella Berti helped anchor the defense in front of Chutter. The Beavers were able to pull away in the second half to earn the non-conference victory.
During the contest, Yeshiva was outshot 30-2.
Yeshiva will be back in action Sunday, for a non-conference match at SUNY Cobleskill, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
