Box Score 2 BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team dropped both of its matches in the Skyline Conference Tri-Match at St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn), on Sunday. The Maccabees lost to the host Bears in the first match, while being defeated by the Rams of Farmingdale State in the second. Both contests ended in straight sets.
In the match against St. Joseph's (Brooklyn), set scores were 25-16, 25-10, and 25-14. Senior middle blocker
Gavriela Colton led the Maccabees attack with eight kills, while classmate
Shaina Hourizadeh anchored the defense with a match-high 15 digs. Sophomore middle blocker
Sarah Rowan scored four service aces, and had just as many kills, while junior setter
Yael Ghelman produced eight assists and seven digs. Junior opposite hitter
Dalia Sieger recorded seven digs of her own.
Against Farmingdale State, set scores were 25-15, 25-10, and 25-9. Colton added four more kills, while Hourizadeh once again had a match-high in digs with eight.
The Maccabees will host the Privateers of Maritime College in a Skyline Conference match, on Wednesday at Baruch College, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
