TEANECK, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking Skyline Conference loss to Mount Saint Mary College, 3-2, at Votee Park on Sunday evening. The Maccabees had a 2-0 lead in the first half, but the Knights rallied for three unanswered goals to win the contest.
Yeshiva (1-7-1, 1-5-1 Skyline), got on the board in the 10
th minute as junior midfielder
Aaron Braun fed the ball to sophomore forward
Albert Dichy, who was able to beat the goalkeeper at the far post to give the home team a 1-0 advantage. Just over a minute later, senior forward
Itamar Ben David received a pass from Dichy and shot the ball into the back of the cage from the left side of the box to extend the Maccabees lead to two goals.
The Knights (4-5, 3-0 Skyline) sliced the deficit in half, five minutes later, which concluded the scoring in the first half. In the second half, the visiting team scored in the 54
th and 73
rd minutes to jump out to a 3-2 lead.
Yeshiva had a quality chance to tie the match, as a header by Ben David was stopped by the Mount Saint Mary goalkeeper in the 78
th minute. Time would eventually run out for the Maccabees as the Knights went on to earn the Skyline win.
Mount Saint Mary had the edge in shots, 16-11, while Yeshiva had the advantage in corner kicks, 4-2. Junior goalkeeper

The Maccabees will be back in action on Wednesday, for a Skyline Conference match against Maritime College, at Reinhart Field in Throggs Neck beginning at 9:15 p.m. Yeshiva will be the official home team for the contest.
