BRONX, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to Lehman College, 7-2, on the South Field on Monday evening.
Lehman (9-7-1) scored six goals in the first half, but Yeshiva's (1-10) defense improved from that point on, as the Maccabees limited the Lightning to just one goal in the final 45 minute period.
Freshman forward
Gabrielle Aboudi accounted for both Yeshiva goals during the evening. She earned both tallies off free kicks. The first one came in the 12
th minute, from the top of the box, to cut Lehman's lead to 2-1. Her second free kick goal came in the 40
th minute, to pull YU to within 4-2. The Lightning scored the last three goals to earn the win.
For the evening, Lehman had the edge in corner kicks, 7-2.

Rivka Lindenblatt started the match and stopped four shots. Sophomore goalkeeper
Gabriella Chutter made five saves in relief. Junior forward
Eliana Tuchman produced a shot on goal.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Wednesday, for a Skyline match at Mount Saint Vincent, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
