BOSTON, Mass. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team dropped the consolation game of the Emmanuel College Tip-Off Classic to Gallaudet University, 102-48, at the Jean Yawkey Center on Sunday afternoon. Yeshiva drops to 1-2, while Gallaudet advances to 1-1.

Leading the way for the Maccabees was senior forward
Michal Alge, who produced a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She also blocked three shots, forced just as many steals, and dished out two assists. Junior guard
Nicole Bick produced 12 points, forced three steals, grabbed just as many rebounds, and had an assist. Â Freshman guard
Chana Boltax drained a shot from downtown and scored nine points total, while bringing down two boards, and adding just as many assists.

Yeshiva got off to a strong start in the game, as a layup by freshman forward
Lindsay Brandwein capped off a 6-0 for YU and propelled the Blue and White to a 7-5 lead, with 6:10 remaining in the first quarter.

However, the Bison shifted momentum into their favor by concluding the quarter on a 16-4 run to take a 21-11 lead, as the first period came to an end. Gallaudet would not trail for the remainder of the contest, as the Bison steadily increased their lead throughout the remainder of the game, and went on to win by the score of 102-48.

For the afternoon, Brandwein produced six points with four rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal. Sophomore guard
Laura Betesh had a team-high four steals, scored just as many points, brought down two boards, dished out a pair of helpers, and blocked a shot. Freshman forward
Celia Cohen led all players with three assists, had just as many rebounds, and scored two points. Classmate
Adina Rosenberg had two points and a rebound, while freshman guard
Leah Shulman dished out an assist. Freshman forward
Kaley Baker brought down a carom.
