NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team dropped its Skyline Conference opener to Farmingdale State College, 98-52, at the Wellness Center on Tuesday evening. The Maccabees fall to 1-4 overall, and 0-1 in the Skyline, while the Rams advance to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
The Rams scored the first 10 points of the contest and never looked back.
Leading the way for the Maccabees was senior forward
Michal Alge, who produced her fourth double-double of the season by leading all players with 20 points and grabbing a game-high 18 rebounds. She also dished out four assists, blocked a shot, and forced a steal. Freshman forward
Celia Cohen also produced a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. She blocked a pair of shots, distributed an assist, and recorded a steal.
Junior guard
Nicole Bick scored eight points, dished out a team-high five assists, and contributed on defense with three steals. Freshman forward
Lindsay Brandwein grabbed seven rebounds, scored three points, had an assist, and registered a steal. Sophomore guard
Laura Betesh forced three steals, brought down just as many caroms, scored two points, and distributed a pair of assists.

Chana Boltax scored three points, had a rebound, recorded one dime, and forced a steal. Junior guard
Penny Rabin had a rebound and an assist, while freshman guard
Leah Shulman forced a steal.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Thursday, for a Skyline Conference game at Sarah Lawrence College, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
