Pinchot Tallies Two Goals During Women's Soccer Team's Skyline Loss to SUNY Old Westbury

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team found the back of the net twice, but it was not enough as the Blue and White fell to SUNY Old Westbury by a score of 12-2, on the Athletic Field at Marillac on Thursday afternoon.

Sophomore forward Lior Pinchot scored both goals for Yeshiva (0-6, 0-6 Skyline) and now has three goals this season. Junior midfielder Anjelica Feig assisted on both goals and now has four points during the 2021 campaign.

After the Panthers (2-9, 1-5 Skyline) jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Pinchot received a through pass from Feig, went down the field, and beat the goalkeeper one on one to slice YU's deficit to 2-1 during the 16th minute.

Old Westbury scored the next pair of goals, but Yeshiva would counter. Feig found Pinchot who guided the ball down the field, went past the goalkeeper, and tipped the ball into the wide-open net from deep inside the left side of the box for her second goal of the afternoon.

That would be all the scoring for Yeshiva, as Old Westbury went on to earn the Skyline victory.

Sophomore goalkeeper Sophie Dubin made 20 saves in net for the Macs.

Yeshiva will return to the Athletic Field at Marillac for Skyline action on Sunday afternoon. This time, the Maccabees will battle the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent beginning at 1:00 p.m.
