THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – Sophomore forward
Lior Pinchot made history, on Tuesday evening, scoring three goals to propel the Maccabees' offense. Maritime College won the Skyline encounter at Reinhart Field, 10-3, but Pinchot made her way into the YU record books.
Pinchot now has seven goals this season, which ties her with Danielle Blicker (2017 season) and Merav Saden Barach (2013 season) for the top spot on YU's All-Time Single-Season Goal-Scoring List. The Skokie native now has 15 points this year, which ranks her in a tie with Saden Barach for third all-time in a single season. She is two points behind both Blicker and Eliana Tuckman who each scored 17 points during the 2017 season.
Thanks to her strong play leading up to tonight's match, Pinchot earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Tueday morning.
During tonight's match at Maritime, rookie midfielder
Mia Perlman tallied an assist. In net, sophomore goalkeeper
Sophie Dubin made 17 saves for the Maccabees.
Pinchot will look to break the program's single-season scoring record on Thursday when Yeshiva takes on Farmingdale State College at the Farmingdale State Soccer Stadium. The action begins at 7:00 p.m.
