PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team dropped its Skyline Conference match to Purchase College, 12-1, on the Purchase College Soccer Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Panthers advance to 3-5 (2-3 Skyline), while the Maccabees drop to 0-2 (0-2 Skyline).
After the Panthers scored three early goals to put YU in a 3-0 hole, the Maccabees answered back in the 17
th minute. First-year forward

Elizabeth Pavel running down the field. Pavel dribbled the ball and then beat the goalkeeper one-on-one for the Maccabees' first goal of the season and shrinking the deficit to 3-1.
It would not be enough, as Purchase pulled away for the conference victory.
In net, sophomore goalkeeper
Sophie Dubin made a career-high 22 saves.
For Purchase, senior forward Rebecca Colgan tallied five goals and had an assist. The Panthers outshot the Maccabees, 47-16, and had a slight edge in corner kicks, 7-6.
Yeshiva will host Sarah Lawrence College, in another Skyline Conference matchup, on Friday morning. The contest at Randall's Island Field 74 is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
