BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team dropped its second game of the season, falling to Moravian College by a score of 75-36, at Johnston Hall on Sunday afternoon. It was Moravian's Play4Kay game.
The Greyhounds (4-3) led from wire-to-wire, jumping out to a 16-1 advantage early and never looking back.
Leading the way for the Maccabees (0-2) was sophomore guard
Yuval Nitzan, who scored 10 points, distributed three assists, grabbed just as many rebounds, and forced a pair of steals. First-year guard
Shai Rahamim netted nine points, brought down three boards, and had a pair of assists.
After falling behind, 30-8, during the second quarter, Yeshiva rallied for six unanswered points to pull to within 16 with 2:42 remaining in the half. Senior forward
Lindsay Brandwein began YU's mini run by hitting a pair of free throws, while Nitzan capped it with a layup and then two successful shots from the charity stripe. Moravian countered by finishing the quarter with a 7-2 run to take a 37-16 hold into the intermission. The Maccabees were outscored, 38-20, in the final 20 minutes of the contest.

Rebecca Malech each scored four points, with the former also clutching three rebounds.
Sophomore guard Madison Amy led the way for Moravian by scoring a game-high 17 points, dishing out three assists, and forcing just as many steals. Junior guard Kayla Yoegel just missed a double-double, netting 10 points and bringing down nine boards. In addition to three assists, she was also a force on the defensive side by collecting two steals and blocking just as many shots. Third-year guard Alix Buskirk tallied 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals.
Yeshiva is scheduled to host Berkeley College (N.Y.), at the Max Stern Athletic Center, on Saturday evening. Tip-off is slated for 8:30 p.m.
