FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's soccer team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Farmingdale State College, 2-0, at the Farmingdale State Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees (7-2-2, 6-2-2 Skyline) fall into a second-place tie with the Rams (8-5-2, 6-2-2 Skyline) in the conference standings. However, Farmingdale State now holds the head-to-head tiebreaker. The loss snaps Yeshiva's seven-match unbeaten streak.
Rookie Tyree Baskin Jr. netted the official match-winning goal for the Rams, during the 20
th minute, as he took a feed from senior Luke Kasulke and buried the ball into the back of the net. Farmingdale added an insurance tally during the 75
th minute as sophomore Guillermo Guardado went deep inside the box and tipped the ball into the wide-open net from the left side to put the contest out of reach for YU.
During the afternoon, the Macs were outshot, 15-10. The Rams also had the advantage in shots on target, 8-3, and led in corner kicks, 4-1.

Benjamin Brener made six saves for the Maccabees, while senior Justin Silva stopped all three shots he faced to earn the shutout victory for the Rams.
Yeshiva will conclude the regular season on Tuesday, with a critical Skyline contest against Manhattanville College, at GoValiants.com Field. The action begins at 7:00 p.m. If the Maccabees win, they will clinch a first-round bye in the upcoming Skyline Conference Championships.
