MAHWAH, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's tennis team dropped its 2022-23 opener to Ramapo College, 5-3, at the Ramapo College Tennis Courts on Wednesday evening. This is the completion of the match that was suspended on its original start date, September 21.

The Roadrunners (2-0) won two out of three doubles flights and then went 3-2 in completed singles matches to earn the win.

For the Maccabees (0-1), senior Eli Hanuka and rookie Yosef Sullivan teamed up to win YU's lone doubles flight (second position), 8-4.

A pair of newcomers came up big for Yeshiva in singles competition. Israel Bussu won at the fourth court, 6-4, 6-1. Jose Hambra was victorious at the sixth position, 6-1, 6-1.

Yeshiva will continue its fall schedule with a match against New Jersey City University, at the Lincoln Park Tennis Center on Sunday. First serve is scheduled for 12:15 p.m.
