MILTON, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's cross country team dropped its dual meet to Mount Saint Mary College, 20-36, at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome on Sunday afternoon.
The top finisher from Yeshiva was junior
Danielle Hornstein, who earned the bronze by completing the 5k race in 25:22. Senior
Mira Postelnek earned sixth overall with a time of 26:16. Junior
Shayna Orlow placed seventh overall, running 3.1 miles in 27:54. Sophomore
Nancy Alexander was the ninth runner to cross the finish line (28:24).
Also competing for the Maccabees was senior
Hilda Roffe (30:56), junior
Noa Myara (35:57), classmate
Isska Partouche (36:40), first-year runner
Hannah Pollak (37:16), sophomore
Hanna Wiesen, and rookie
Lena Ohayon.
Yeshiva will participate in the Br. Daddy Doyle Meet of Champions, hosted by Iona University, at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday morning. The 6k race will begin at 10:45 a.m.
