Box Score BRONX, NY - Competing in their first non-conference match of the year, the Yeshiva women's soccer team were defeated by Lehman College, losing to the Lightning by a score of 9-1 on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Offensively, the Maccabees were led by
Leeby Levine, with the junior securing Yeshiva's one and only goal of the night.
On the defensive end,
Maayan Berkowitz had a solid game in goal, notching six saves while withstanding 21 Lehman shots.
With the loss, the Macs are now 0-12.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Macs fell behind early, surrendering nine goals through the first 83 minutes.
- It was not until the 84th minute that Yeshiva found paydirt, drawing a penalty kick that Levine buried into the back of the net to cut the Macs' deficit to 9-1.
- Yeshiva were not without their chance to score again, with Alayna Higdon and Ariel Melnitsky joining Levine in getting off shots on the night.
