NEW YORK – The No. 3-seed Yeshiva University men's basketball team will battle the second-seeded Manhattanville College Valiants, in the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Championships, at Kennedy Gymnasium on Thursday evening. Tipoff is at 5:00 p.m. It is a rematch of last year's league title match that saw Yeshiva win its second consecutive Skyline Championship, and third in the past four seasons.
The winner of this year's playoff matchup between these two teams will play for the Skyline Conference Championship this weekend.
How We Got Here: Yeshiva (16-9) overcame an 11-point deficit to defeat the sixth-seeded St. Joseph's University Long Island Golden Eagles, 67-58, in the quarterfinal round of the Skyline Conference Championships at Max Stern Athletic Center this past Tuesday evening. Manhattanville (20-6), winners of the Skyline North Division, earned a thrilling down-to-the-wire league quarterfinal victory against No. 7-seed College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins, 69-66, at Kennedy Gymnasium on that same night.

Inside the Matchup:Â The Maccabees are 6-0 over the Valiants since Manhattanville rejoined the Skyline back in 2019, including last year's Skyline Championship contest. Earlier this year, YU came from behind to win its lone head-to-head contest of the regular season with Manhattanville, 85-81, at Kennedy Gymnasium back on November 29.

For the Maccabees:Â Sophomore guard
Zevi Samet is scoring 21.7 points per game this season which leads the Skyline. He drains 4.04 triples per contest which ranks him No. 1 in all of NCAA Division III men's basketball. Classmate
Max Zakheim is netting 16.4 points and bringing down 4.2 rebounds per contest. Senior forward
Matan Zucker has produced seven double-doubles, including a triple-double, this year. Junior guard
Oren Betesh leads the country in 3-point field goal percentage (51.7%) and has converted 75 out of 145 attempts from beyond the arc.
For the Valiants:Â Senior guard Tommy Lotito is scoring 17.0 points, bringing down 6.4 rebounds, dishing out 4.2 assists, and forcing 1.7 steals per contest. Classmate Jackson Leech is generating 13.2 points and 7.0 boards per contest.
