EDGEWATER, N.J. - The Yeshiva University men's tennis team suffered a non-conference loss to Baruch College, 8-1, at Edgewater Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon. Baruch (2-1) served as the official home team.

For the Maccabees (0-6), rookie Jose Hambra won a competitive singles matchup at the sixth position. The Buenos Aires native dropped the first set, 1-6, but came back to win the second by a score of 7-5. It came down to the 10-point tiebreaker which Hambra won by a score of 10-6.

Hambra's triumph would not be enough as the Bearcats won all three doubles flights and five out of six singles matchups to earn the non-conference victory.

Yeshiva will take on Pratt Institute, in a matchup at USTA National Tennis Center, next Sunday. Pratt will be the home team and first serve is at 12:30 p.m.
