NEW YORK, NY - Taking up a prestigious mantle, Orri Cohen has been named by Yeshiva University Athletics the next Head Coach of the Women's Basketball Program.
 
No stranger to the Maccabee program, Cohen served as an assistant coach to the team throughout the 2023-24 season, helping bring YU their first Skyline Conference Player of the Year in school history.
 
Outside of Yeshiva, Cohen is heavily involved in Jewish basketball world, having served as the Co-Head Coach of the U-18 Girls Maccabi Basketball Team for the 2023 Pan-Am Games in Argentina, bringing home the bronze medal.
 
Cohen is set to make his coaching debut on Monday, Nov. 11, when the Maccabees will face off with Five Towns College in their 2024-25 season opener.
