The beating heart of men's basketball's offense,
Zevi Samet had a historic season for the Maccabees. Both the team's and the conference's leading scorer at 22.7 points per game, Samet slotted in as the third highest scorer in all of Division III play this season, all while starting all 28 games he appeared in. A second-year player out of Monsey, NY, Samet became the fastest player to ever join the Yeshiva 1,000-point club, doing so after just 46 games played in blue and white.
A nearly unstoppable force out on the court,
Daniella Bessler ran away with Player of the Year Honors in the Skyline, locking down the accolade following a truly special season of play. Starting all 20 of the games she appeared in, Bessler stuffed the stat sheet throughout the course of the season, putting up 19.2 points (the best in the Skyline), 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. She also ranked near the top of the conference in blocks (seventh, 17) and assists (eighth, 66), achieving all this while shooting .418 from the field.
Despite being in her fifth season as a Maccabee,
Yuval Nitzan proved as lethal as ever with the ball in her hands this year, providing crucial veteran leadership both on and off the court for an injury-plagued Yeshiva squad. Averaging 14.8 points, 3.6 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game, the Israel native proved an indispensable part of a truly special Macs team.
